Porsche 911 Firing Order

While spinning my wheels I got to looking at some of the old 930 Turbo's that I really love. Air Cooled that is, and after poking around on the web I found some more info to keep the list of EZ Read firing orders going. Disclaimer, I have not had my hands on an air cooled engine (yet) so most of this info is aggregated from the web. The important difference is the rotation of the distributor, this should be your final judge. In all cases TAKE A PICTURE OF ANYTHING BEFORE YOU TAKE THINGS APART. If you need any Porsche parts their really is only one place to hit and that's Pelican Parts.

In what I see, and this is by no means an exhaustive list the following is true -

Porsche 911SC 1978 to 1983 Are COUNTERCLOCKWISE
Porsche Turbo 1987 to 1989  Are  COUNTERCLOCKWISE
Porsche 911's Are  CLOCKWISE

The firing order for both rotations are below in giant EZ Read color.

The Porsche 911 Firing order (
Zündfolge) in all cases is 1-6-2-4-3-5
